How the name tags work

Letters that fit

The words are real outlines from the font, set to the letter height you pick. If they don't fit the shape, with the space you asked for around them and clear of every hole, they shrink until they do, and the page tells you the size they came out at. Letters a font lacks come from a fallback font, so names like Łukasz or Zoë print whole.

Three ways to letter

Raised letters stand up off the plate for a colour change at one layer. Engraved letters are cut in, for one colour or a wash of paint. Flush letters sit in pockets level with the face, for a multi-colour printer, and look best printed face-down on a smooth or textured plate.

Made to be used

A lanyard slot takes the usual 13 mm clip. Screw holes are countersunk for a No. 6 or M3.5 screw. Magnet pockets get 0.3 mm extra for a press fit, and the plate thickens itself when something inside needs room. The slot stand leaves 0.45 mm of play for the tag.

A whole event

Paste a list of names from a spreadsheet and get a tag for each, all with the same letter size, laid out on your build plate so a table of badges prints in one go.
