Terra Towns

Pick a real piece of the Earth, about 1.85 km across, and found a town on its real hills, rivers and coast. Build roads, homes, shops, power and water. Your town keeps growing while you are away, and towns next door can join up by road.

How to play

  1. Find a free plot with some land and found your town. It's free; you need a TerraPrinter account.
  2. Draw roads from the town hall, then zone homes, shops and industry beside them.
  3. Add power (solar or coal) and water (a tower, or a pump on a river) so buildings grow taller.
  4. One game week passes every 5 minutes, even when you are away. Come back to see it grow.
  5. Run a road to the edge of your plot to join a neighbour's town: joined towns trade and grow faster.
  6. Print your town as a 3D model on its real terrain.

Good to know

  • One town per player. The land is real, but your plot starts empty: no real homes are knocked down.
  • If you stay away for 2 weeks your town falls asleep. After 2 months it turns to ruins and someone else can build there.
  • Be kind with names. Towns can be reported, and our moderators remove anything hurtful.
